Chapter 211: First Draw
The man wielding the blade was dressed in tight black clothes, with a smile on his face, he gently removed the blood on his blade with the clothes of the dead man.
This man was not even 30 years old, his face was cleanly shaven with shoulder length hair that was slightly messy but neat at the same time while the blazing fire by his side illuminated his face.
With the blade in hand, he raised his head up and looked at the chaotic crowd around him. No one said a word as their heads remained lowered and they continued to shift the supplies into the vehicles. Two women dressed shabbily walked over to the dead person and dragged the corpse to one side, then used their bare hands to dive into the pool of blood and picked up the bags and placed them back into the wooden trunk. Even with their hands stained with blood, they did not even furrow a brow.
The two women carried the trunk to the side of the vehicle and upon seeing that they were out of the man’s line of sight, they knelt down in unison and vomited. Not far from them, Zhang Xiao Qiang quietly watched everything, he did not look at the dead person or the women and only thought back about the speed at which the man had brandished his blade.
Everyone in the camp was busy while the man was overly trusting over the scouts that he had deployed. Their recent failure with Zhang Xiao Qiang’s team did not affect him whatsoever, he leaned on his blade and smiled at the busy people, like a man that had not come to a realization that he lost in a battle.
By his side, two men with rifles on their backs supervised everyone, they were his die-hard assistants brought out from the prison, although many of them had died and the two were the only ones remaining, he did not care, he also had a strong faith in the blade in his hand.
Zhang Xiao Qiang managed to grasp the entire situation below, aside from the mysterious man and his trusted aides, there were no other forms of security. Zhang Xiao Qiang decided to lead his men downwards.
He had to get rid of the three men instantly, as long as the three of them were resolved, the people below would become Zhang Xiao Qiang’s manpower and troops. Since their future had already been decided by Zhang Xiao Qiang, he was not willing to see them being worn down for nothing.
While moving, Zhang Xiao Qiang spied something from the corner of his eyes and suddenly stopped to carefully inspect the familiar off-road vehicle.
On top of the luggage rack laid a large oil tank and welded on the car roof were two weapons. The car front had a ‘v’ look to it and was Zhang Xiao Qiang’s favorite car. This car had been modified and serviced by Wang Le to look like a Hummer, which Su Qian had driven off. Seeing the familiar Hummer, complicated emotions rose in Zhang Xiao Qiang’s heart.
Su Qian has most likely fallen under that perverted Liu Tou.. Not most likely, but definitely… He Wen Bin had once lamented that Su Qian was too extreme, the 10 over weapons that Brother Long and his team once had were seized by Su Qian, even the bullets that they had risked their lives and exchanged a few lives for were taken away bu Su Qian.
In the battle where Liu Tou had led his men to attack Zhang Xiao Qiang, they had more than 20 rifles. Zhang Xiao Qiang believed that many of them belonged to Su Qian. In China, rifles were hard to find. Upon thinking about it, Zhang Xiao Qiang’s emotions went into a turmoil, unsure if he was happy or sad.
Su Qian was a woman of power, courage and dared to fight. But luck was definitely not on her side. All the other ladies that followed Zhang Xiao Qiang survived well, but she, a hard-headed woman that was not willing to rely on men, was most likely a corpse already.
The man with the blade turned his head and was about to say something to his trusted aide when his body suddenly leaped upwards and dropped to the ground to roll on his shoulder before standing up again and running away.
Before the two subordinates could even ask anything about their boss jumping to one side, bullets flew straight at the two of them and formed countless blood holes. The two men never even aw Zhang Xiao Qiang and his men and were already twitching on the floor.
Zhang Xiao Qiang led his men to chase after the man and continue their fires at him. The random bullets flew behind the man and formed countless of small holes in the ground, producing small sand clouds, but the man seemed to be able to predict the trajectory of the bullets and was constantly avoiding them. When their magazines were finished, the mysterious man did not even lose a single hair.
The rest of the busy workers were stunned by Zhang Xiao Qiang’s sudden appearance. It was only when Zhang Xiao Qiang and his men carried their rifles and chased after Liu Tou with their guns did they scatter in fright. Zhang Xiao Qiang ignored the panicked crowd and reloaded his rifle with a new magazine.
Although the combat team members were able to change magazines and continue firing, the concentration of fire was no longer as huge as before as the man had suddenly turned and rushed towards Zhang Xiao Qiang.
As Zhang Xiao Qiang pulled on the gun bolt, the man was already in front of him. At this time, the rifle was no longer useful due to the potential risk of friendly fire. The man rushed to one of the combat team members and slashed down towards his head.
The member was also a veteran that had followed and worked for Zhang Xiao Qiang for a long time. Upon seeing the gleaming blade hacking down onto him, he suddenly raised the rifle in his right hand upwards.
“CLANG….” With a flash, the member’s hand felt the weight lessen. The rifle was cut into two halves. Taking the opportunity where the enemy had not raised his blade, he shouted out loud and smashed the two rifle parts onto the man before turning to run.
The man swung his blade twice and repelled the rifle off. When he was about to rush at the other members, a black sword flew towards his glabella. Seeing Zhang Xiao Qiang wielding his sword, the man raised his blade and swept his sword away. The blade followed the repelled sword, inducing the loud sound of friction between metal and changed his target to Zhang Xiao Qiang.
Noticing the incoming blade, Zhang Xiao Qiang exerted strength to turn his sword in an attempt to skirt around the man’s blade. A pity, the man was like Guo Fei and wielded a two-handed blade. The blade was also cut downwards. Zhang Xiao Qiang’s single hand strength could not be compared to his, in his eyes, the sword-wielding momentum was as heavy as a mountain as it came down towards his forehead.
“Clang…” A clear metal collision sound came out as Zhang Xiao Qiang’s bayonet split into two. Before engaging, Zhang Xiao Qiang knew he was not as good as the enemy and had thus equipped himself with the dagger on his left hand earlier, initially as a trump card, but who would have thought that it could only deflect a blade.
But with the broken dagger, it gave him time and resolved the danger. He lowered himself from the guy’s blade and raised his leg to kick the guy.
If Zhang Xiao Qiang was fighting an impulsive person like Guo Fei, he might not have missed. But the guy in front of him was too fast, Zhang Xiao Qiang suddenly charged forward at him, that was when the man revealed a smirk of ridicule as he suddenly exerted force and slid out of the predicament. The force exerted from his leg drew a line in the ground and caused Zhang Xiao Qiang’s leg to kick the air.
Before Zhang Xiao Qiang could retract his leg, the man swung both of his hands, turning the blade down straight for Zhang Xiao Qiang’s neck. “DING….” The blade was blocked by Jing Wei’s blade. The two of them pulled a distance from one another.
Zhang Xiao Qiang looked at the man carefully. He circled around the man slowly, seeking out a flaw that he could exploit. On the other side, the mysterious man had retracted his mocking smile and had become serious as well.
After the mutation of his body, he had never encountered a person that could withstand three strikes from him, but he had met two in a day, the first was Guo Fei and the second was Zhang Xiao Qiang. Zhang Xiao Qiang’s skill was superior to Guo Fei. When the man fought with Guo Fei, Guo Fei had to rely on his suicidal tendencies without regards for his own life for the both to suffer injuries and could only sustain for so long. The man only had to wait for Guo Fei’s physical strength to drop before he easily knocked him out.
It was different fighting against Zhang Xiao Qiang. From the very beginning, Zhang Xiao Qiang contested with him in terms of force. Although Zhang Xiao Qiang was not as fast as him, Zhang Xiao Qiang’s adapting skills were superior, so the two of them fought on equal levels.
The man looked at Zhang Xiao Qiang who was slowly moving around him, the indifference in his eyes gradually turned into fanatism. When Zhang Xiao Qiang caught sight of the difference in his eyes, he knew that the man had grown impatient. He stopped moving around and stared at the man with a look of provocation.
“Hahh….” The man moved, the black tight-fitting clothes on his body made brought along a phantom figure as he rushed straight at Zhang Xiao Qiang…
