Chapter 3090 - I'll Slowly Toy With You

Tianming felt rather unnerved when he returned to Grandblue Palace. I wonder how I angered her.... It can't be for what happened in the Fortuna Arena, right? He made sure he was ready to run at any time, though he hadn't attempted escaping from Lan Yun before.

"Master, I—"

"Come in!" her voice from within the glacial palace coldly interjected before Tianming finished.

"Understood!" Tianming grit his teeth and stepped into the cave of frost. The hall within was filled with ice sculptures. Lan Yun, dressed in a long blue robe, sat atop a crystal throne with her legs crossed. Her long hair decoratively sat on her luscious curves and coiled up neatly on her lap, but the frost coming from her order seeped deep into Tianming's bones and organs, causing him to feel prickling pain all over his body. Frost was even visible on his skin.

"Master...." Tianming felt like his tongue had been frozen.

"Did you ravage someone's fiancee in front of so many people?" Every word from Lan Yun felt like a sharp icicle.

Tianming hurriedly said, "Master, don't misunderstand. I just made it look like that. They kept trying to kill me and threatened to exterminate everyone I know. They even disrespected you! I could’ve endured it if they were just coming after me, but they dared to even profane you! I only did that when I couldn't contain my rage. All I did was put up a screen so that nobody would see what was happening. I didn't even touch Huang Jiaoyang! May the heavens and earth be my witness!"

Even more frost turned into icicles that pierced into Tianming's body! "You're telling me that you didn't touch such a pretty rogue beauty even once? Who’d believe you?! All the rumors in Myriadpath Valley are certain that you did her hundreds of times! How do you explain that?!"

"It's easy!" Tianming took a deep breath. "She's simply not my type! Even if someone paid me, I wouldn't touch her!"

"Then what is your type?"

Tianming looked at Lan Yun's eyes and turned his head down. "At the very least, I like them snow white...."

The glacial hall fell completely silent and a fragrance suddenly assailed his nostrils. He didn't even need to look up to be able to see that everything around him was covered in snow.

"White like this, you mean?" Her cold voice pierced into his eardrums.

"I wouldn't dare!" Tianming nervously said as he took a few steps back.

"What do you mean dare?! Did I ask you to do anything?" Lan Yun smirked. However, there was no way for Tianming to know if she was actually angry.

"No, but I swear that I don’t regret what I did in the arena one bit. I’ve done nothing shameful. I was also fighting for the pride of Grandblue Palace. I’m the first disciple with a black-and-red name to make it to the Fortuna Ranking! Others will no doubt praise master's teachings for that...."

"Hehe." Lan Yun held his chin and playfully looked into his eyes. After a long time, she let go and walked away. "Fine. I’ll trust you for now."

"Thank you, Master!" Tianming said, feigning agitation.

"However, you should understand why I bother involving myself in your matter. Since the day you became my disciple, I told you that there was a condition. You’re not to engage in intercourse. I believe that you didn't break that rule today, but if you let me discover that you did, then...."

She suddenly turned back and glared at him, frost rising once more. "I will make sure that you become a man with only six astral organs. Mark my words!"

Tianming felt his eggs crushed from hearing that alone. "I understand! I’ll never approach any other woman apart from you, Master!"

"Hmph! Begone!" Lan Yun waved him away.

"Understood!" Tianming hurriedly turned to leave. Only when he left the palace did his expression of respect for her fade. "Three hundred years are too long. I'll slowly play with you."

Everyone in Myriadpath Valley was insane in some way. So far, Tianming hadn't made a single friend. He was worried that making any would involve them in his troubles. "This is much better. I don't have to worry about getting well-intentioned folks involved in this."

......

It was said that beyond the mysterious clouds of Myriadpath Valley was a place where immortals went into seclusion. And it had a fitting name to match: Fallengrace Peak. It was a mountain peak surrounded by dense concentrations of midsky essence.

Some Yin Chens sneakily made their way there in their invisible cockroach form. Right as they were about to climb the mountain, they found themselves blocked by layers of barrier formations. With Yin Chen's current star count, there was no way its bodies were making it through, though it didn’t bother trying to force it, either.

Eventually, Yin Chen spotted Lan Yun rising up through the clouds to the peak before disappearing. Fallengrace Peak was incredibly huge. At the very top were quite a few grand palaces.

When she stopped in front of Fallengrace Hall, she seemed a bit pale. Even someone like her had to take a deep breath to calm down before going in, and she couldn't control the nervous sweating on her back.

When she finished regulating her emotions, she approached the hall and lightly knocked on the door. Nobody answered. She pushed the beautiful, white-pattern-adorned door open and entered.

While the surroundings outside the hall were beautiful and tranquil, everything within it was dark and bloody. When the door closed, a thick mist of blood began to rise and fill every corner of the hall, making it the very picture of hell.

Many strands of fibers that resembled vines and capillaries proliferated at a rate the eye could see. The entire place seemed like the lair of a spider, and the sound of blood dripping clearly echoed within the deathly silent hall.

Lan Yun's blue dress was soon stained red as she made her way through the bloody swamp. Even her face and hair were soon covered in blood. Eventually, she stopped in the depths of Fallengrace Hall and looked ahead, shaking all over.

She saw a cocoon of blood with a diameter around three meters. All the capillaries in the hall had originated from the cocoon. In a way, it was like the heart of the whole place.
