Divine Emperor of DeathDivine Emperor of Death
Space cracked with thousands of crevices appearing almost everywhere. The space was unable to handle the ridiculous explosions of the battle that was at the Empyrean scale. The Immortal Emperors and Sovereigns simply were not able to move around properly. They were subjected to immense pressure from the numerous Autarch undulations reverberating.
At the same time, the Divine Emperor of Death's soul quivered, sending out waves of soul force. Level Four Immortal Emperor undulations billowed in the area, and his voice echoed as he demanded Autarch Elluro Coldwing to surrender.
His undulations were incredibly dense, making every Heaven's Warrior on the battlefield feel scared. The black-white reincarnation energy swirled around him, making him look more mysterious than dreadful, yet the fear he commanded was all the same.
Even as the Heaven's Warriors raised their weapons and glared at him, their eyes were all overwhelmed with nervousness and fright.
After he issued a demand, Davis waited.
Right now, Davis was using the black-white stone and Fallen Heaven in tandem to increase his prowess to two levels above Level Nine Empyrean Stage. There was a slight change to the black-white stone. It had become more powerful in its base state, able to release energy capable of reaching Level Nine Empyrean Stage without Fallen Heaven's energy.
Perhaps the change was because the treasure came into contact with his Immortal Emperor Stage coalesced Everlasting Samsara Tribunal Soul Physique or came into contact with Fallen Heaven. Or it was originally just that powerful and was rusty because of its own lack of energy when found. After all, an armament or an artifact also had its own reserves of energy and durability, which determined its power. Then, reuniting with its source, Fallen Heaven, it recovered to its peak.
He considered a few scenarios but was unable to determine the truth. After all, there was no spirit in the black-white stone for it to explain what had happened.
Regardless, this was the reason he was that confident against the Celestial Transcendent. How would the Celestial Transcendent possibly kill him when there was a prowess ceiling present in the Third Layer of the True Immortal World protecting the space, disallowing cultivators from overreaching so that space here wouldn't be destroyed?
Moreover, it appeared to differ for most people, somewhere from the eleventh level to the twelfth level of the Empyrean Stage.
Because of this matter, he was unaware of where this ceiling stood for him. For the same reason, he couldn't use the full strength stemming from Fallen Heaven and the black-white stone to one-shot Autarch Elluro Coldwing. Otherwise, he might suffer some serious consequences in addition to experiencing Fallen Heaven's ability to skew fate since he was using it to power the black-white stone.
A double-layered calamitous attack from the suspected Void Dimension was the least he needed now.
Weighing his options, he was incredibly careful.
Therefore, he demanded Autarch Elluro Coldwing to surrender of his own volition, even though he was ninety-nine percent aware that it wouldn't be happening.
"Everyone here is prepared to die. Your threat will have no meaning to their fervent hearts willing to protect the universe!"
Autarch Elluro Coldwing raised his silver sword and pointed at Davis. Under the moonlit night, he looked dashing as his black hair waved in the wind while his white-purple eyes glowed in the dark. His sharp and stern voice, imbued with the authority of the heavens, traversed across the region, suddenly setting their Wills ablaze.
Davis could see the fear in their eyes lessen as they forcefully smirked, appearing as though they wanted to go another round even though they just lost over four hundred Heaven's Warriors of the two thousand they seemed to have brought.
Most of them were Immortal Emperors. Davis could guess that these Heaven's Warriors were assembled from many realms, but he wasn't even sure why they were here other than to be cannon fodder. Then again, he considered they were here to exterminate his family, making his lips twitch.
"Ah— indeed."
Davis heaved a breath full of rancor, "In reality, you're all Heaven's Cultists rather than Heaven's Warriors, a death squad existing solely for the heavens, so I guess I understand why you would disregard the lives of your comrades and try to kill a peaceful Anarchic Divergent who wants to minds his own business."
"…!"
His words seemingly made them all enraged.
"Words are useless, evil Anarchic Divergent." Autarch Elluro Coldwing harrumphed.
"Coward, you use words to do the bidding of the heavens. For you to say words are useless, you must be retarded."
Davis cackled as he pointed at him.
Autarch Elluro Coldwing instantly closed the distance between them and slashed with his silver sword.
Davis also grabbed the reincarnation spear from the ground and struck back.
*Booom!~*
Space shattered, creating deep, jagged crevices that led into the layers within the space, and the night sky split apart with the force of their clash.
Autarch Elluro Coldwing's silver sword carved an ethereal slash imbued with the authority of the heavens. It threatened to break Davis's iridescent spear when it descended in a swift, lethal arc, seemingly carrying the weight of countless stars above in the skies.
It split apart the desert below, creating a huge crevice.
However, Davis still remained floating where he stood. His reincarnation spear barely survived, with countless cracks forming against it.
*Bzzz!~*
The iridescent wheel, the manifestation of the Everlasting Samsara Tribunal Physique, once again popped up behind him. It spun as soon as it formed, restoring the Spear of Damnation in Davis's hands. This spear is infused with the power of the black-white stone and Fallen Heaven.
Their weapons came apart for a moment before they clashed again.
*Booom!~*
The shockwave from their clash sent both of them skidding back as they dragged the space within their foot, creating trails of broken space in their wake.
Autarch Elluro Coldwing's eyes narrowed, his white-purple irises gleaming with cold fury as he steadied himself, gripping his silver sword with both hands. The air around him trembled with his Level Seven Autarch undulations, and the ethereal glow of his sword pulsed like a living force, ready to unleash another devastating strike.
Yet, he didn't make a move quickly, pausing for a moment.
