Divine Emperor of DeathDivine Emperor of Death
*Bzzz!~*
"Soul Suppression Art."
Davis's lips moved as his soul force extended in all directions. It instantly brought all Heaven's Warriors to their knees, but he intentionally let a few escape his grasp.
"Ahhh! Evil Anarchic Divergent, die!"
"You do not deserve to live while ignorantly causing so many calamities! That is the very essence of evil!"
"If we can die and take even a bit of your energy in return, I'd call that a profit!"
Three Level Two Autarchs roared and charged at Davis as they cornered him from three different directions, their expressions grim yet resolute. Each of them exuded more powerful undulations than their cultivation base, their respective Laws creating a terrifying synergy of pressure that seemed to compress the very space around them.
Davis had noticed these three were together in the outer region. It seemed like they were a bit too late for the party.
The first Autarch rose to the skies. His entire body shimmered with a golden aura. He seemed to be equipped with a Mid Grade Empyrean Sword, bursting out with metallic energy.
It reminded Davis of Garoe Rynn, a sword cultivator who practiced Gold Laws in the Aurora Cloud Gate. He was second only to Niel Bladeheart if he were to exclude Tanya.
With an indomitable posture, the Level Two Autarch slashed through the air, sending out arcs of razor-sharp golden metallic blades toward Davis. The blades approached with deadly intent, but they failed to attack him and landed all around him as though intentionally missing him.
If not, the aim was too shitty.
The second Autarch slid above the ground, gliding in the air as he conjured a raging tempest around him. The winds howled and spiraled into a giant typhoon, crackling with lightning and thunder. The air became thick with lightning arcs, and the wind carried the force of thousands of revolving lightning arcs.
Davis raised his brows as he finally guessed he met with Storm Laws, a fusion of Wind Laws and Lightning Laws.
Before he could see it, the third attack had already appeared as the space around him seemed to warp.
"…"
Davis heaved a breath. It couldn't be any more obvious that they were setting up a trap for him.
*Bzzz!~*
The oppressive power of the combined Laws bore down on him, pressing against his body and trying to intrude into his soul in order to suppress him with the strange formation they created. Yet, in the midst of the chaos, his expression remained calm, his gaze rather shallow. While all these terrifying attacks fell, Davis was nonchalant about it, slowly observing the nature of the attack instead of the damage it could cause.
As the attacks fell, they looked as though they had managed to restrain him. They were aware the Divine Emperor of Death was totally looking down on them and wanted to capitalize on it. Simultaneously, they took out powerful talismans that glowed with an ominous energy.
"Again…?"
Davis frowned.
Suicidal attacks were something he expected, but they hadn't even attempted to fool him yet. On the blind side, he guessed this was a good decision because he wasn't going to let them run around.
*Booom!~*
His soul force exploded outward once more, an invisible wave of overwhelming death energy that instantly filled the entire space. The three Autarchs froze as the weight of Davis's soul force crashed into them like a tidal wave. Their movements slowed as their senses dulled under the immense pressure of his soul, their minds screaming in pain as they tried to resist.
The Soul Suppression Art he didn't use on them acted against them at this moment, sending them crashing to the ground as though a mountain was suddenly placed on them. Their bodies stuck to the ground, unable to stand up.
Amidst the storm of soul force, the metal blades started dispersing, the storm dissipated into nothingness, and the warped space began to stabilize. Their talismans flickered, the energy within them faltering as the three Autarchs found themselves unable to activate them. They saw the talismans crumbling instead, shattering into dust.
"…"
Their countenance couldn't help but adopt the color of despair. They went pale.
Even the peak Mid Empyrean Grade Offensive Talismans of various Laws that were supposed to harm him were taken down.
"You all shouldn't have come here."
Davis smashed his palms together. The resulting booming clap sound echoed, and three heads rose, each hovering above them. They opened their mouths, practically snatching their soul essences from their soul seas without effort. All the defenses they had turned out to be useless. Even the defensive talismans didn't get tripped by this devilish technique.
The three heads kept their mouths open, draining away their souls while keeping their cultivation base suppressed. Once the souls entered the mouth, they swallowed and rushed back to Davis.
Once they neared him, they were gone.
With a wave of his hand, Davis collected their bodies. They were precious resources in his eyes now, high-quality feed for magical beasts.
The battlefield fell silent as the remaining Heaven's Warriors looked on in horror, their morale shattered by the swift and absolute defeat of their powerful comrades, as well as their inability to do anything other than being able to watch.
They were absolutely suppressed, not even given the opportunity to self-destruct.
Davis rose to the sky, his gaze sweeping over the battlefield to make sure he missed nothing. After a few seconds, he finally nodded. None of them escaped.
None of them could escape.
After all, Stella locked the space, and their own entrapment formation shut down most communication methods. Of course, Stella was still concealed in the mini-realm, but he felt her undulations. Autarch Elluro Coldwing and he had been making a huge fuss above the mini-realm, so how could she not notice?
Once Autarch Elluro Coldwing was gone and his aura significantly faded from the air, her senses came out, and she knew what to do like a smart girl.
Davis inwardly nodded at Stella before he confirmed the safety of his wives above and returned his gaze to the suppressed crowd of a thousand and three hundred eight nine Heaven's Warriors. It was not a huge number, but considering that every one of these heaven fanatics carried a physique with them, it was quite marvelous.
"I'm sure you all want to give your lives away for the sake of the universe. In that case, I'll gladly take it and make use of it."
He forced a smile, suppressing his intent to kill, and rose to the skies to talk about fleeing the realm.
The Great Desolate Plains was no longer safe. Similarly, the same could be said about the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm.
At the same time, Davis was hoping.
Autarch Elluro Coldwing might not care about the lives he used to end evil. However, the Celestial Transcendent was different. The latter wasn't naive, but Davis wanted to think that the Celestial Transcendent would allow him to exist for a while with these hostages.
