Divine Emperor of DeathDivine Emperor of Death
Lea pursed her lips, thinking.
Only Davis and her were seated in the hall while the others were left to their own devices.
They remained silent for a few seconds before Lea opened her mouth.
"I think we should keep Calypsea's existence a secret until the Celestial Transcendent leaves again. It is clear traversing up and down the layers takes some time because they need to find the necessary spatial nodes."
"I've researched this a bit and came to understand that there's a rumor that the number of spatial nodes that can exist at a single time connected to the Second Layer is no more than thirty-three. And our Celestial Transcendent Galaxy's lower space is currently noted to have no more than five spatial nodes leading to the Upper Realms but the Upper Realms are vast, so getting to them is extremely time and energy consuming."
Davis nodded.
In the Three-Layered Universe, which they all call the True Immortal World, there were three layers.
The Third Layer consists of the Lower Realms.
The Second Layer consists of the Upper Realms.
The First Layer consists of Greater Realms, which are also called Galaxies because only through them can one descend and enter the Upper Realms and Lower Realms of the respective Galaxies. This meant that a single Galaxy consisted of one Greater Realm, sixteen Upper Realms, and forty-eight Lower Realms.
As for Minor Realms, they could spawn anywhere in the Third Layer and Second Layer, although it seemed to be rare for them to appear in the First Layer.
Nonetheless, with the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy being restricted into a single fold of space, there were fewer spatial nodes to traverse up and down the layers out of the rumored thirty-three. After all, these spatial nodes do not connect to other Galaxies unless it is some kind of spatial anomaly, which is rarely seen.
"It may not be a problem for the Celestial Transcendent, but he has to spend some time getting around, which is merely two weeks at max."
Davis sighed, "Much of the said time has passed. He could be descending any moment now. The nearby spatial node that was used by the Heavenly Blight Hall's Third and Fourth Dark Apostles has disappeared. There is none nearby, and the nearest is around six realms away."
"With our recently built intelligence network, I am pretty sure we could spot him before he reaches us if he were to descend on that spatial node six realms away, but that is if he doesn't disguise himself. The Celestial Transcendent may be a Heaven's Warrior, but he's not one at heart. He moves by his own standards, so disguise and other cunning moves would be in his play. My only fear is that we would already be caught in his trap when we show weakness or are in an immovable situation like Calypsea undergoing her tribulation."
Davis's expression turned solemn, "I don't want to lose Calypsea to such a careless mistake."
"…"
Lea exhaled. Her heart sank to hear they were facing such an opponent.
"Then it's better we force his hand to stop hunting us down before we have Calypsea enter the Empyrean Stage."
She suggested, causing Davis to nod and chuckle.
"Well, it's unknown if he would let us go, but I'm banking on his pure heart and confidence to save those Heaven's Warriors who will still deal with me. He's the Celestial Transcendent, after all. He even dealt with that old witch who was in her prime billions of years ago, beat her down, and had her victims seal her with their own lives on the line."
"He didn't kill them, while the Heaven's Warriors would've done so without batting an eyelid. It is clearly obvious he doesn't want people to die needlessly, and if a problem can be solved without spilling blood, then he will accept it, which is what I would be proposing."
Lea nodded, "I wish we would succeed and enjoy a peaceful life, even if it only lasts a year."
"Oh, it should be much more than that, or I wouldn't even bother." Davis shook his head with a wry smile, "But I guess beggars can't be choosers."
"Indeed." Lea smiled, "That said, you said the old witch was at the next stage but you didn't say what it was called. You keep dodging~ I don't care about karmic burden because we're too powerful for our tribulations to affect us. Even Vereina knows, and she has this strange face that says she's superior."
She complained with a sweet voice, trying to get the information out of him while acting cute.
Davis blinked as she saw his elegant Lea acting coy. His lips couldn't help but curl.
"I can't wait to reveal the names of the next stages and watch your expression reel in awe and excitement, but some things are better left unsaid. Karmic burden isn't something that would just affect one's tribulation. It could also affect one's luck and destiny. Even the supreme geniuses from the Upper Realms didn't know the name of the next stage."
"Hence, we could derive that not even their seniors and ancestors told them, and even if they knew, the most likely answer I could think of was that it was clouded by karma, and I couldn't read. After all, it is entirely possible that even Myria forgot with time. I'm not sure how much of an influence karmic burden has on various factors, but you do know that Nadia's race was racial karmic burdened into extinction, right?"
"…" Lea pouted, "Alright. I'll listen to you~"
"Good. I'll let you all know when you reach the Empyrean Stage or near the peak of the Immortal Emperor Stage." Davis nodded before he became hesitant, " Did you become pregnant?"
"Unfortunately, no…" Lea wryly smiled.
"That's not a problem, but if you happen to notice that spark, you must tell me no matter what."
"I will. I will not endanger our child, my love~"
Lea smiled endearingly.
Davis kept nodding his head, consoling that she would sooner or later have his child, and it was just a matter of time. Lea still had his yang essence inside her womb so that she could try to get pregnant. Initially, she didn't want to, but after three whole days of making love, she changed her mind and badly wanted to see the fruit of their love.
Naturally, it was difficult to get pregnant, but the moment it happened, it released a tiny bit of undulation that female cultivators could generally notice unless they were too occupied. They could also sense the changes in their bodily functions, which would usually give them away if they missed that undulation.
Therefore, Lea was expectantly waiting for it to happen. With many others being pregnant, she couldn't see why she would not get pregnant.
Davis didn't say no to her actions of keeping it instead of refining it. But if she did that, he wanted her to let him know when it happened so that he could leave her in a safe location and deal with the Celestial Transcendent.
Of course, he wasn't going to meet the Celestial Transcendent face to face.
He was going to send his soul body and deal with the Celestial Transcendent so that even if the other party captured and used him as a catalyst to find his main body through incredible karmic techniques, Lea would still be safe somewhere else.
