Ye Lingchen did not speak. He simply touched Old Tortoise’s shell as its eyes lit up.

“What happened, exactly?” Chen Qi asked solemnly.

Ye Lingchen looked at him. “The stage above the Innate Stage is…the King Stage?”

“You’ve met a King Stage?” Chen Qi’s pupils shrank suddenly. Although he had already guessed it somewhat, the revelation was still a huge shock for him!

It was a fact that there were no King Stage masters in Capital New District. Any King Stage master was powerful and unrivalled. They were overseers of a region and were a treasured resource for any country.

Ye Lingchen nodded. “A new, permanent Hell’s Gate had opened somewhere near here. After we found out, we encountered a King from the Stick Nation.”

Ye Lingchen then briefly recounted his earlier experience.

A new Hell’s Gate?

A King from the Stick Nation?

The news was so important that Chen Qi was momentarily lost for words.

He quickly figured out what was going on. “The Stick Nation is afraid that you’ll leak the news and that’s why they wanted to kill you?”

“That’s right,” Ye Lingchen nodded. “The location of Hell’s Gate is in the international waters between us and the Stick Nation. I’m afraid that Stick Nation has already begun to arrange for people to claim it.”

“Hmph, if it’s in international waters, this isn’t something they can monopolize!” Chen Qi’s eyes narrowed and a cold light appeared in his eyes.

“Are there many kings in The Stick Nation?” Ye Lingchen asked suddenly.

“Not many. There are only three in total.” Chen Qi explained, “King Stage martial artists are worldly rarities. Whether they’re from our country or the Stick Nation, they must have originated from Buff Island, since that was the first Void Realm to be seized by humans. With more resources and stronger aura, that is the only place one can cultivate and enter the King Stage.”

Buff Island was equivalent to mankind’s base camp. It was jointly controlled by all countries and provided resource support to the entire world.

“What are the names of these three people in the Stick Nation?”

Chen Qi’s face changed slightly, and he responded solemnly. “Little Friend Ye, you mustn’t mess around. King Stage martial artists are far more powerful than Innate Stage warriors. They’re not even on the same level.”

“I know. I fought him too.” Ye Lingchen’s voice was faint.

“It’s an amazing feat to have escaped from the hands of a King Stage martial artist, but I can assure you that he never took the battle seriously to begin with. Otherwise, you’d be killed in seconds!”

The old man initially wanted to capture Ye Lingchen alive. With little effort, he managed to Ye Lingchen and forced him to the limits in order to try and stop it. Then there was the old man’s last move—even though Ye Lingchen was hundreds of meters away and blocked the attack to the best of his ability, the attack still ended up hurting Old Tortoise. It was truly a testament to the man’s strength.

Ye Lingchen shrugged. “I know, I didn’t even think about going head-to-head with him just now. But I…will definitely kill this person!”

Chen Qi frowned slightly. “The characteristic of a King Stage martial artist is that they control space and time. Rather than relying on nimbleness of movement, they actually have the ability to fly and are able to suspend themselves thin air as if they’re walking on the ground. They’re invaluable to all countries, even to Earth. I’m afraid no one will agree with you if you want to kill a martial artist like that.”

“That’s my concern. Just tell me their names.”

Chen Qi sighed slightly. “Eun-Joo Kim, Se-Won Cha, and Sung-Yoon Lee. These three people have all started from Taekwondo and Judo in the Stick Nation. From China’s point of view, they’re the most unique martial arts talents. Eun-Joo Kim mainly does Taekwondo and specializes in kicks, while Se-Won Cha practices Muay Thai and has formidable explosive power. You’ve probably met Sung-Yoon Lee, who’s skilled in Judo.”

China had obviously collected information pertaining to those people and Chen Qi had ample knowledge about them.

Sung-Yoon Lee.

Ye Lingchen noted the name and included him on the list of must-kills. His next mini goal was to kill him. That guy could be proud of himself for being the first person listed by Ye Lingchen as an enemy.

“Director Chen, I’ve seen some partitioning in the realms of cultivation. Are the states above innate also called Trinity Convergence? ”

“The masters are referred to as Kings, while Trinity Convergence is connected to the division of those stages.”

“Can you tell me more?”

Chen Qi nodded. “Innate Stage warriors specialize in using innate spiritual energy. You’re already at the intermediate Innate Stage. Once you complete the cultivation of the Innate Stage, you’ll reach the Innate Stage’s peak. On the other hand, Trinity Convergence is another transformation of your innate spiritual energy. When the time comes, spiritual energy will merge with your corporeal body. The Trinity Convergence transcends your body and your body will be a channel. You’ll have effortless control over the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The energy will flow in a constant stream and your strength would be endless.”

“No wonder,” Ye Lingchen lamented.

Whenever he manipulated the waves to attack Sung-Yoon Lee, Sung-Yoon Lee frequently used his body to parry away the attack. He might have a surprisingly strong physical body, but it was highly unlikely that he practiced endurance kungfu as Ye Lingchen did. As it turned out, there would be another occasion where one would undergo rebirth after reaching the King Stage and shedding one’s mortal body.

In that case, his own cultivation of endurance kungfu…

Chen Qi must have noticed what Ye Lingchen’s pensiveness and immediately said, “You’re a very special case. Not only are you good at martial arts, but you’ve also got stellar endurance. Your combat strength is stronger than someone who’s at the same level as you and you’ll also find it easier to break through to Trinity Convergence. Once you reach the King state however, there won’t be much difference to your current corporeal abilities.”

Chen Qi could not help but feel envious when he said that. He had no idea how Ye Lingchen managed to practice endurance training, since it was very difficult to do so. His high level of accomplishments was not even the main point. It was the incredible martial arts skills that Ye Lingchen possessed despite his young age. A person could hardly reach Ye Lingchen’s cultivation skills even if they started cultivating from when they were still in their mother’s womb. Frankly speaking, Ye Lingchen was a freak.

The most difficult part of the Trinity Convergence was the process of fusing the innate spiritual energy with the corporeal body, though that was not difficult for Ye Lingchen. He had already integrated it well, and once Ye Lingchen reached the peak of Innate Stage, he might even be able to step directly into the Trinity Convergence.

That was also the reason why the Warrior’s Department valued Ye Lingchen that greatly. He had the potential to become a King and he could already be regarded as a semi-King.

Ye Lingchen smiled. Such benefits were completely unexpected.

At that point, Chen Qi said, “Little Friend Ye, that area of sea is quite near to Miracle Island, isn’t it?”

Ye Lingchen looked at him and smiled. “Miracle Island belongs to me. I won’t sell it for any price.”

He had considered that possibility a long time ago. Miracle Island’s location became extremely special after one of Hell’s Gates appeared there, and the Warrior’s Department would certainly pay more attention to the place.

In all seriousness, he had spent so much effort and had completed all the planning. There was no room to make any concessions whatever.

Chen Qi smiled awkwardly after Ye Lingchen saw through him. He had also guessed that Ye Lingchen would say that, but the situation was very special that time. Once the incident was reported, the Warrior’s Department would definitely re-evaluate everything and discuss things again.

“Deputy Director Chen, there are plenty of islands around here. You don’t need to set your sights on my Miracle Island. I’ll give you another suggestion. Why don’t you take this opportunity to bring up my thoughts about opening a warrior school to the Warrior’s Department? In that case, the students of that warrior school can also shoulder the responsibility and take care of that Hell’s Gate. ”
