I Am A ProdigyI Am A Prodigy
Under everyone’s complicated gaze, the third martial artist from England and Tintu came to the fore.
Shriya vs. Joey.
Shriya cultivated the Golden Buddha Body, the attacks of which were wide yet close-ranging. It lacked some finesse, but the whole-body defense was amazing and the attack was similarly strong. The method was akin to using one ability to ram through everything—much like a tank—leaving the opponent unsure where to start.
Joey was an earth-based awakened one whose style encompassed immense strength.
Neither of them had a powerful means of attack and were not as brutal as the previous battles. Rather, there was some enjoyment in their clash.
Such a harmonious battle made everyone feel a little uncomfortable because it was far too different from the previous few games.
However, a battle of that sort would not last long. Just as the two sides fought hand-to-hand, Shriya’s entire body turned golden and the Golden Buddha Body shone brightly. His speed had also quickened, and he launched his entire person at the opponent like a cannonball!
Shriya smashed the earthen block in front of Joey abruptly, and broke a few of the latter’s ribs. The sound of bones fracturing was particularly harsh.
However, a ruthless look flashed in Joey’s eyes as he fell to the ground. The area where Shriya smashed into him turned into a swamp and his body became a trap just to lure Shriya over.
The swamp absorbed Shriya’s feet and restricted his movement, while Joey had stood up after falling. His right hand condensed into a huge stone fist that came right in Shriya’s direction.
In that battle, Joey and Shriya both broke an arm as well as four or five breastbones. It was a stalemate and ended in a tie.
So far, none of the eight contestants who played in all four battles were seriously injured, but even with the help of the Buff Island’s elixir, it was not something that could cure them in the short-term.
The faces of those peak-level King Stage powerhouses from England and Tintu sunk in distress.
Ye Lingchen and others also fell silent.
It was then that Ye Lingchen understood where the murderous intent of that group came from. They killed many people before and were exceptionally ruthless!
At some point, Zhou Jian went before everyone, and remarked bluntly, “it’s a life and death battle in the arena. Don’t hold back. If you don’t kill them, they will kill you!”
Everyone nodded.
Ye Lingchen understood that it was not an ordinary competition. The only way to determine the outcome? Life and death!
No point hiding one’s means and trump cards. Winning was the goal!
The last battle was also the most crucial one.
One to one.
Vikas of Tintu would fight Alex of England.
Both of them were linchpins and both were going all in.
“That’s…a scimitar?” Ye Lingchen focused his gaze. His brows jerked when he looked at Alex’s weapon.
The weapon’s extraordinariness could not be understated. It looked less like a saber and more like a large dart. Its blade was a 360-degree circle and he had three of them: one in each hand, and one on his back.
“This guy participated in the International Martial Arts Tournament last year too!” Jing Shan exclaimed suddenly. “His weapon is very special. I think I’ve heard about it before.”
“Yes!” Sun Hongtao nodded. “Alex is a metal-based awakened one, with the ability to manipulate metals. That weapon of his is tailored for him and is very distinctive.
“He was only a low-level Innate last year, and even though his opponent was a mid-level Innate, he still managed to humiliate his opponent. If it were not for the lack of spiritual power, he might be able to win. He could only control two scimitars last year too.”
Ye Lingchen’s attention was not on the person. He asked, “He forged that weapon himself? I thought we haven’t been able to forge any material coming from the Void Realm?”
Sun Hongtao glanced at Ye Lingchen faintly, and said, “Once the awakened one reaches the King Stage, the power of his awakening will be even greater. For example, a fire-based awakened one will be extremely hot, and as long as a fire-based King Stage awakened one is willing to forge it, they can naturally forge the weapons of the Void World into new weapons.
“It’s just that this process is very complicated and requires a lot of money. A King Stage martial artist would not do it for no reason.”
Ye Lingchen nodded suddenly. The awakened ones had such an advantage but it had no effect on his plan because it was still difficult to refine it.
He then touched his chin and groaned.
In the arena.
Alex and Vikas have slowly begun stepping into the arena.
Vikas was a monk, but the weapon he used was actually a machete. It looked extremely fierce and possessed a rampant killing aura.
A monk who was armed with a machete was a very strong contrast.
“This monk cultivates Buddhist Massacre,” Zheng Dali said suddenly.
“There’s massacring in Buddhism?” Chen Xiaoxiao asked in surprise.
“There is a saying in Buddhism that ‘he who puts down the butcher’s knife becomes a Buddha right away’. This is the epitome of the saying,” Zheng Dali continued, “This sentence isn’t aimed at a so-called evil person, but refers to the Buddhist messenger of punishment. What it actually means is that a person who kills countless wicked people will thus be able to prove themselves and become Buddha.”
“Does it really have that layer of meaning?” Jing Shan was extremely surprised.
“Massacring Buddha. He must be very ruthless then. This battle…will be really difficult.”
“The Massacring Buddha has actually disappeared from this world for a long time, but it made a reappearance after Hell’s Gates appeared,” Zheng Dali explained.
Buddha sought peace in all things, but had no choice other than to go out and kill.
The reason for its resurgence was none other than to save the world. The world would have perished if they refrained from killing.
Everyone seemed to have a complicated look.
How much disaster would be brought to Earth by the Void Realm?
No matter who it was, no matter what power they had, and no matter their selfish reasons, their ultimate goal was simply to protect the world.
Ye Lingchen wondered if everyone thought the same way, but he was more than willing to think that way.
“Tintu, Vikas.”
“England, Alex.”
The two saluted each other solemnly.
As soon as they completed their sentence, Alex dashed forth like thunder and attacked with his right hand. The scimitar flew out, cutting towards Vikas with an overbearing aura!
That was not a hidden weapon, for it was being thrown openly.
Whoosh!
The scimitar cut through the air and left a deep arc-shaped path along with the flashing of an afterimage.
After throwing with the scimitar, Alex did not make any extra moves. He merely stood on the spot, but the scimitar was constantly changing courses in the air and was swiftly manipulated.
Facing a scimitar that could cut through bamboo, Vikas showed no sign of evading it. An extremely fierce aura—one that was completely different from ordinary monks—erupted out, and his feet slammed the ground!
He left a deep footprint on the soil, and he had actually rushed into the attack range of the scimitar before slashing the machete out!
“Clang!”
The scimitar was struck away and Vikas kept up his speed. He advanced forward and rushed straight toward Alex!
“So ruthless!”
Wu Tianbao could not help but exclaim. “He ran directly to Alex. This is without a doubt a direct combat style with indomitable momentum.”
That was true steeliness!
At that moment, however, Alex’s left scimitar also flew out…
