Chapter 669: Scary Text Message?

I had fallen into a coma numerous times within 24 hours, so I was not particularly sleepy (The class leader, however, couldn’t hold on anymore after she confirmed I was rescued and Winnie supported her back to her room to rest).

I sat by the bed for a while and watched Ai Mi sleep deeply, then I suddenly remembered that I can now check who sent me text messages.

It turned out that my phone had run out of power and shut off automatically. I guess that’s also good, I hope it was dead when Dr. Yu took it out of my pocket, so that no one could have peeked at the note on my phone.

“Ye Zi, Ye Zi.”

I suddenly heard someone calling me in a low voice from outside the RV.

The voice was muffled and I couldn’t remember who it was.

I pulled back the curtains and it was Li CunZhuang.

After receiving Dr. Yu’s brain surgery, his stuttering was not cured, but his IQ had significantly improved.

After he saw my silhouette through the curtain, he would have knocked hard on the glass and called me with his previous reckless character, which was evidence of his increased intelligence.

As I lifted the corner of the curtain, Ai Mi, who was being bathed in the sun, frowned slightly in her sleep. I hurriedly gestured to say “I’ll be right out” to Li CunZhuang, then pulled the curtain closed.

Li CunZhuang’s parents also came together to visit me. It’s because I was the reason Dr. Yu operated on Li CunZhuang, so they have been deeply grateful to me and asked me to visit their house several times during the summer, but I only went there once because of trivial matters.

“Fortunately, fortunately, you’re okay.”

I wore a pair of breathable soft leather shoes prepared for me by Peng TouSi. After I stepped out of the RV, Li CunZhuang came up to me and said with eyes full of concern.

Compared to the last time I went to his house, his post-operative recovery was perfect and his head was no longer wrapped in gauze.

I smiled at him: “I won’t die that easily, what are you guys doing here.”

Li CunZhuang’s father said from the side: “If Zhuang Zi’s savior had an accident, why can’t we come to check on him? If we found out about it earlier, we might have come yesterday.”

Li CunZhuang’s amiable looking mother also said, “I prayed the whole way and hoped that Zhuang Zi’s friend would be lucky, it’s all okay now…”

If you think about it, it wasn’t strange for Li CunZhuang’s family to come see me after they got the news. On the contrary, it was Shen ShaoYi, who was from the same class as Li CunZhuang, who was standing at a distance and looking at me from afar.

I know that because Shen ShaoYi has a crush on Xiong YaoYue, as well as a series of misunderstandings with me, he may have some hard feelings. But since captain Guo SongTao graduated, the basketball team has not been able to gather eighteen players, so he probably came to see me out of friendship from playing basketball together.

Although Li CunZhuang was not as stupid as before, he still had a simple mindset. He did not hide and would say it if he had something to say, unlike Shen ShaoYi who was standing under a tree. He wanted to come over to talk to me, but did not know what to say.

After talking to Li CunZhuang’s family, I took the initiative to walk to the tree and greet the awkward Shen ShaoYi.

After slapping him on the shoulder with a little force and making him stumble, I laughed and said:

“Did you come to see me or stalk Winnie by using me as an excuse.”

Xiong YaoYue does not like to be called by her full name, so even Shen ShaoYi, who was in another class, knew that nowadays people generally call Xiong YaoYue by her nickname Winnie.

Shen ShaoYi did not answer my question and instead asked, “I… heard that you fell into a bear trap.”

“Yeah.” I deliberately put on a weird look, “I don’t have bear in my name, but still fell into the bear trap, how unfair.”

Both sentences I said to him contained Winnie and it caused Shen ShaoYi to blush.

“Ye Lin, it’s good that you’re okay.” Shen ShaoYi looked around to dispel the awkwardness, “I only just heard the news, so I came on behalf of the other members of the basketball team.”

He had an arrogant posture as if to say “I didn’t come just to see you”.

“Shen ShaoYi, I have tell you, if you want to go out with Winnie…”

Although some rather inappropriate things happened between me and Winnie the past few days, I have always treated her as a good friend and the same goes for her.

So since I may not live long, I wanted to fulfill Shen ShaoYi’s wishes. I wanted to tell him about Winnie’s preferences, so he would have better chances.

Speaking of the devil, Winnie, the class leader, and Niu ShiLi and the others came from the direction of the hotel. The class leader, including the others, were happy to see me outside and ran over to surround me, but Winnie stopped them.

“No one goes over. No one should disturb Ye Lin and Shen ShaoYi.” Winnie stopped everyone very seriously, “It’s hard for them to break up…”

I think you wanted to say break up then reunite. Everyone could already guess it even though you stopped halfway. Who are you calling bisexual?

I was just giving ideas to Shen ShaoYi so I could fulfill his wishes, but now Winnie was stopping everyone because she wants me to be with Shen ShaoYi.

My god, this is way too messy. It’s a good thing the class leader forced Loud Mouth and Little Smart to go back to the city. It would have been a bad ending if a fujoshi like her saw this scene.

Shen ShaoYi became timid when he saw Winnie come over and said to me: “If you’re okay, then I’m going back. The others are still waiting to hear from me.”

After Shen ShaoYi left, the first to rush up to congratulate me on being saved was the carefree Winnie. The class leader instead walked after her.

Winnie first gave me a bold hug, then held my shoulders with both hands and looked me up and down and said:

“Ye Lin, you’re alive, I was worried to death. If I had known earlier, I would have not given you the butterfly, otherwise you would still haunt me as a ghost, right?”

I laughed and shook my head, “It’s not your fault. I only ran into danger because of my own mistake, I’m very embarrassed for not letting you guys get a good night’s sleep.”

I said while sneaking a glance at Shen ShaoYi. I’m afraid that if he sees Winnie so close to me, his heart would be in pain, but I could no longer see his figure.

The class leader stood five steps away from me and Winnie like she had something she wanted to say to me, but did not feel it was appropriate to come over.

After a little hesitation, Niu ShiLi, Xu LiJun, You Chen, Pi ZeGuang, Mu ZhongMing, the male students who played basketball with me, all came over and formed a circle around me, asking me about my recovery.

“Hmph, I knew you wouldn’t die.” Niu XiLi adjusted his black-rimmed glasses, and I thought he was looking more and more like Clark Kent.

“Um…” Xu LiJun looked at the class leader outside the circle, then lowered his voice and asked me, “Zhuang Ni forced me to buy beer, so I thought she was trying to deal with you. You didn’t fall into the trap because of drinking the beer I bought, right?”

I shook my head, I was not drunk when I fell into the trap. After falling into the pit, I thought about a lot of things. Even if Xu LiJun really was responsible, I wouldn’t pursue it anymore, I mean he even stayed behind to help.

Li CunZhuang family’s also came into the circle. After seeing I apparently recovered, they talked and laughed along with everyone else.

The class leader stood outside the circle as if it had nothing to do with her.

Finally, it was Li Cunzhuang who asked, “Shu, Shu Sha, don’t you want to come and say something to Ye Lin?”

Only then did everyone remember that the biggest contributor behind my rescue was the class leader. Although the person who personally saved me was Xiao Qin, but Xiao Qin only knew I was missing because the class leader was the first to inform her.

So they automatically made a gap to let the class leader into the circle.

The class leader, however, stood still, a smile showing on her tired face, she asked me from afar: “You’re okay?”

“I’m okay.” I replied in good spirits.

“It’s good that you’re okay…” The class leader slightly lowered her gaze and I did not know what she was thinking.

Suddenly, Xiong YaoYue’s cell phone rang, she picked up the phone, “Hello, oh it’s Loud Mouth, yes, yes, Ye Lin is all right. Tell the other students and reassure them, what, you want to come?”

Winnie asked for my opinion with her eyes, but I shook my head, indicating that there was no need to bother them.

“You guys don’t have to come, we’ll take good care of him.” Winnie said to Loud Mouth and hung up.

As she was just about to put the phone back into her pocket, she received another text message.

When Winnie went to read the text message, the class leader, who was standing outside the circle, suddenly turned pale as if someone clutched her heart.

Her eyes had changed from a gentle gaze to a fearful gaze, her face also changed colors from white to red.

I did not understand what was going on and looked at her. She became even more shy when I looked at her and glared at me with a little annoyance as if I was bullying her.

Then she turned around and stomped away. She ran so fast her black hair flew up behind her.

“Did the class leader eat something bad?” Winnie also asked in wonder.
