“Can, of course can!” Golden Young Dragon nodded happily as he couldn’t wait for this bunch of players to leave.
Fortunately, for the Golden Young Dragon, he merely faced a bunch of honest players like Prairie Fire. If Fearless was here, the dragon might have to be stripped off and left with underwear.
Wang Yu had been playing the game with Fearless for quite some time now. Naturally, he would have learnt a few tips and tricks from him.
At a time like this, why would he leave just because he was ‘allowed’ to?
Of course, Wang Yu was not the type of person to blackmail for equipment. Instead, he looked worryingly at the lake in front of him, “This lake is rather huge. I wonder how much time it’ll take for me to swim across.”
In the game, the swimming speed of a player was at least one-fold slower than running on land. Wang Yu knew how to fly so he wasn’t worried but Prairie Fire and the ladies might spend quite a bit of time if they were to swim over.
“This… Indeed… pretty huge.” Golden Young Dragon nodded and agreed with Wang Yu as he turned to look at the lake.
“Do you want to give us a lift?” A cheerful Wang Yu smiled.
“Hey! Old Bull, I think you’re pushing it too far.” Prairie Fire, who stood by the side, sympathised with Golden Young Dragon. This was the most pathetic BOSS he had ever seen. Not only was he beaten up so badly that he pleaded for mercy, Wang Yu still wanted to treat him like a slave…
“This isn’t appropriate, right?”
Golden Young Dragon was slightly troubled, “I am from the mighty golden bloodline.”
The Dragon Race always had plenty of customs which made it difficult for ordinary humans to ride a dragon. Furthermore, Golden Young Dragon was of a royal bloodline so how could he lift his head up as a mighty dragon if rumours spread that some random humans rode him?
“Then there is no other choice!” Wang Yu waved his hands, “It seems like we won’t be able to leave for about an hour. Think of an idea.”
“This…” Golden Young Dragon was also helpless as he sighed and asked, “Uncle, do you have money?”
“Why? You want to take my money just because I didn’t take any from you?” Wang Yu furrowed his brows and asked.
“No, no!” Golden Young Dragon hurriedly explained himself, “This is a rule…”
“Alright then!” Wang Yu was not an unreasonable person and he also knew that there were a lot of rules that NPC in the games had to follow. Therefore, he took out one gold coin and stuffed it into Golden Young Dragon’s claw.
Golden Young Dragon looked awkwardly at the one gold coin as he looked back at Wang Yu. On the verge of tears, he had no choice but to roar towards the lake.
At this moment, rumbles were all over the surface of the lake and a small island emerged.
When the small island fully emerged out of the water, Wang Yu and the others couldn’t help but exclaim in shock.
Damn it! How is this a small island? This is actually a massive tortoise.
“Honourable Tigris, what can I do for you?” After that old tortoise emerged from the waters, he asked slowly.
Golden Young Dragon handed one gold coin towards the old tortoise and said, “Bring them over to the opposite shore.”
“Just one gold coin?” The old tortoise curled his lips, “Even though I, Anthun, am trapped in Dragon Island, I still have my pride. You’re trying to buy me off with just one gold coin? And for so many of them?”
“So how much do you want?” Golden Young Dragon pointed at Wang Yu, “They only gave me one gold coin and I have given everything to you.”
“Oh?” Anthun turned to size Wang Yu before asking with shock, “You’re Martial God?”
“That’s over complimenting me! I am not a god, merely a Martial Artist!” Wang Yu replied humbly.
“So you’re not him…”
Anthun muttered to himself before responding, “Since you’re his descendant, you are qualified for Old Servant to give you a lift. Come, all of you hop on.”
Anthun approached the shore and as much as he looked desperate to get on land, he did not.
“You cannot come onshore?” a curious Wang Yu asked.
Tortoise should logically be able to move on both land and water.
“I’m ashamed of myself!” Anthun said depressingly, “Old servant has been trapped here for so many years but this is only the second time I’ve come across humans.”
“Second time?” Prairie Fire asked, “Does that mean someone else has been here?”
“Not too long before you guys!” Anthun said, “Honourable Tigris was struck down by them into the water so badly that he dared not come out.”
“…”
Once they heard this, everyone turned to look at Golden Young Dragon again.
Who would have thought that this fella could be this unfortunate?!
Golden Young Dragon was flustered and exasperated, “Anthun, you old heck! Can you not talk so much?”
“Haha!” Anthun laughed out loud, “Honourable Tigris is more unlucky today… 12 of his guards were all killed.”
“Do you believe I can get someone to kill you if you keep talking?” Golden Young Dragon threatened.
“Hurry up then! Kill me fast and I can respawn fast! Do you really think I want to stay here?” Anthun looked unconcerned.
“Tsk! I will not fall for your trick!” Golden Young Dragon turned around and no longer cared about Anthun.
“This is bad!” At this moment, Prairie Fire suddenly clapped his hand, “Don’t tell me that group of players went to Giant Dragon Castle too?”
“That’s right! How did you know?” Anthun questioned.
“Hurry, hurry, hurry!” Prairie Fire hurriedly jumped on Anthun back and urged the others, “Hurry up… We might be too late if we don’t hurry!”
“Don’t worry. They are swimming over…” The old tortoise Anthun was still not anxious.
Prairie Fire took out a bag of gold and placed it on Anthun’s shell, “One thousand gold! Mister, I’m begging you to go faster!”
“Haha! What an obedient kid!”
Anthun chuckled as he started swimming towards the opposite end.
…
It was reasonable for Prairie Fire to be anxious. As an experienced player, he knew just what the designers were up to.
Why would they randomly allow two squads over to Giant Dragon Castle? If his guess was right, this would most likely be a competing clash quest.
If it was any ordinary clash quest, they wouldn’t be this worried. However, they were this worried because this was a first-come-first-served quest.
According to Anthun, the earlier group of players had already made their way over. If they didn’t hurry, wouldn’t the quest be snatched away from them?
Even though Anthun looked like a slow-moving tortoise, he could swim pretty fast and it didn’t take long for them to arrive at the opposite shore.
“Hehe! Fast, right?” After letting everyone down, Anthun chuckled, “Remember to find me again when you want to head back. I can go faster with even more money.”
“I would rather die back!”
Prairie Fire continued to curse and scold…
Anthun did not bother about their cursing as he turned to Wang Yu, “Honourable Martial Artist, I am very honoured to be able to give you a lift.”
“Don’t mention it!” Wang Yu hurriedly waved his hands humbly.
“Haha!” Anthun smiled and asked, “I wonder if the honourable Martial Artist lacks an entourage?”
