Chapter 133: I Will Find You, No Matter What It Takes! (III)

They continued toward the South. Along the way, Luo Jianqing saw a lot of Fiend Cultivators who all fled away as soon as they sensed Xuan Lingzi’s coercion.

Luo Jianqing recalled something, “Master, you are not getting along well with the Fiend Exalt?”

Xuan Lingzi answered lightly, “If I’m given the chance, I will definitely kill him.”

Luo Jianqing was puzzled. He knew that his Master had once fight back to back with the Fiend Exalt, not to mention they were both the representatives of the Human Clan who signed the Peace Contract with the Demon Clan. Why on earth their relationship became so tense?

As if he heard Luo Jianqing’s internal monologue, Xuan Lingzi explained, “Dao and Fiend are always enemies. Jianqing, I want the Fiend Exalt dead, and it is true the other way around. Now that I’ve broken the contract, the peace between two clans won’t last long. Therefore, I cannot kill him now, and he cannot kill me.”

Luo Jianqing understood, “We must show solidarity since there is a war awaits.”

Xuan Lingzi nodded and then kept quiet. Tilting his head, he was gazing at the grand sunset at the edge of the sky. The effulgent afterglow sprawled over every creature in the world and covered them with a touch of golden voile.

Light and ice-cold, Xuan Lingzi’s voice reached Luo Jianqing’s ears, “The Fiend Exalt only had three hundred years left. No one knows when he will breakthrough Deity Transformation Period. Jianqing, you and Mo Qianqiu will be the primary targets of the Demon Clan. You have the chance to reach Deity Transformation Period within two hundred years, while Mo Qianqiu has the opportunity to be the first Deity-Transformation-Period Fiend Cultivator in history. Do you have any idea… how dangerous the situation is?”

Hearing this, Luo Jianqing’s face darkened, and he didn’t respond.

Fixing his eyes on Luo Jianqing, Xuan Lingzi reached to a wisp of his hair and comforted him, “Don’t be afraid. I will never, ever, let you be alone.”

Luo Jianqing chuckled, “What makes you think I’m afraid?”

Xuan Lingzi was puzzled, then he saw Luo Jianqing remain cool and calm, “I was just wondering, Master, what you were thinking about when you broke the contract. There will be so much trouble after we go back. I have a feeling that the cultivators of the Four Sects and the Eight Families never thought about the possibility that the contract would be broken in this way.” Pausing for a few seconds, Luo Jianqing went on, “The Fiend Exalt might be cursing you right now.”

“Why?” Xuan Lingzi asked indifferently.

Luo Jianqing recalled, “The Fiend Exalt felt like a moody guy to me. He must be so mad at you since you broke the contract. It would be better if we get out of this realm as quick as possible. The Fiend Exalt is vicious enough to kill his own disciple!”

Luo Jianqing took Xuan Lingzi’s hand and hurried up, while his Master gripped his hand as well. Warmth wafted around them.

Standing on Xuan Ling Sword, they flew higher and higher, and it was not long before they couldn’t see the landscape anymore, even the mountain ranges turned into small earthworms, covered by layers and layers of clouds. They turned into two beam of lights. By the end of the day, they had reached the river located at the border of Fiend Realm and Yun State.

The river was ten miles wide. Squinting, Luo Jianqing still couldn’t clearly see the mountain range on the other side of the river.

The river was roaring and running, leaving crystal-like splashes on the bank. Holding Xuan Lingzi’s hand, Luo Jianqing was standing by the riverside with nobody around except his Master. After a long silence, Luo Jianqing asked in whisper, “…Mo Qiu told me that you’ve killed the Blood Pill Master. Master, how could you be so sure that it was him who kidnapped me?”

Of course, the seal on the Fiend Tripod would automatically disappear if the Blood Pill Master was killed, so Xuan Lingzi made his mind before Mo Qiu even finished telling him the way to eliminate the seal.

However, just like what Blood Pill Master said before he died: how could Xuan Lingzi be sure that he is the one who caught Luo Jianqing? If it wasn’t him, then Xuan Lingzi would be killing an innocent person!

Nonetheless, Xuan Lingzi was gazing at the running stream, “If it wasn’t him, what’s the matter?”

Luo Jianqing was shocked, “If it wasn’t the Blood Pill Master, then weren’t you killing the wrong…”

“Just let it be.” Xuan Lingzi said in a steady tone, “If it wasn’t the Blood Pill Master, I could kill the Blood Blade Master or Blood Sword Master. Even if it means that I need to kill everyone in the Fiend Palace and eventually fight with Mo Qianqiu, I will find you and keep you safe.”

He said it slowly and casually. He wasn’t exited or enraged. However, Luo Jianqing kept quiet and swallowed back what he was going to say.

Fixing his eyes on the ethereal cultivator in white robe, Luo Jianqing was gazing at his beloved one. Finally, the corner of his mouth raised and he chuckled, “But you already knew that Yu Qingzi had sent people to the Fiend Palace and found the five Da Sheng Period Fiend Cultivators never left the palace. The Fiend Palace is clean.”

Xuan Lingzi said lightly, “Then I shall kill all the Da Sheng Period Fiend Cultivators in the world to find you.”

The river roared intensely.

On this vast abundant land, a river was sprawling toward the edge of horizon like a stream of silver satin. The two cultivators held each other tight and shared a lingering kiss. Lacking a touch of drastic senses, it was a gentle, soft kiss, expressing their love, their worries, their fear of losing each other.

After this kiss, they crossed the river and put on the mask of a pair of prim Master and disciple.

They couldn’t afford to lose the rein of their desires anymore, so they headed to the West, crossed the border of Yun State and arrived at Cen State.

With vast forest and winding river, Cen State was just like Luo Jianqing remembered one and a half years ago. Countless rivers cut the land into verdant oasis like a giant spider web.

Xuan Lingzi maximized their speed. Three days later, they arrived at the gate of Gui Yuan Sect.

The delighting smell of sandalwood along with the sound of mantra was wafting among the mountain range. Luo Jianqing and Xuan Lingzi were standing by the foothill, waiting for Gui Yuan Sect’s monks. Not long after the novice monk went back to the main temple to deliver the message, dozens of cultivators arrived at the gate.

Luo Jianqing wasn’t expecting to see so many people.

Yu Qingzi was the first one to step up, looking over Luo Jianqing from head to toe for a total of three times. Eyes redden, she kept nodding slightly and finally felt relieved, “No injury. He is alright.”
