The Villain Has Something to SayThe Villain Has Something to Say
Yin Ze Gully was a bottomless valley.
The Northern Land of Arctic was dry and hot, yet there was vast expense of waters in both Yin Ze Gully and Feng Shen Sea. The Feng Shen Sea itself was a boundless sea, while in valley of Yin Ze Gully ran a gurgling river.
However, you didn’t have to jump into the valley and swim across the river to get through the Yin Ze Gully.
Over three thousand years ago, Fei Hua Sect sent a Da Sheng Period master to build a chain bridge across the gully. The chain as thick as a barrel spanned the steep cliffs, with fierce astral wind whistling through.
There were three methods for a cultivator to find his bond here.
The first one was the easiest. The cultivator was only required to stand on the chain bridge and withstood the blowing of the astral wind. Anyone managing to do that could improve his power.
The second one was relatively easy. The cultivator had to walk through the bridge to reach the opposite side of cliff, where the Yin Ze Mountain stood. Many relics of the ancient cultivators were left on the mountain, which could be found if that cultivator was lucky enough.
The third one was a little bit complicated, that was to say, to directly walk through the Yin Ze Gully instead of crossing the bridge.
Many evil lives and negative energy gathered in the Yin Ze Gully. It was said that a ghost cultivator came here was like a duck to water-they could get huge benefits and significantly improve their power. However, other cultivators might be eroded by those evil lives. In some senses, those evil lives were good things, as they could polish the primordial life, making it more compact and powerful.
On the other hand, many cultivators died here. Since they had the courage to enter the gully, they must be far from brave and powerful than ordinary ones. Even if the Yin Ze Gully was the “safest” dangerous place in the Northern Land of Arctic, countless cultivators lost their lives here over the past tens of thousands of years. Of course, you could snatch the relics of them, if you were capable enough.
As Luo Jianqing and Xuan Lingzi entered the territory of Yin Ze Gully, Xuan Lingzi stepped back and just followed his disciple as if he were not here. Xuan Lingzi just gazed at the back of Luo Jianqing quietly, watching each of his step. He followed Luo Jianqing towards any direction, yet he didn’t interfere or talk.
When they reached the edge of the cliff, they saw that thick chain bridge.
Down the bridge was bottomless abyss, and it seemed that the bridge was the only way out. To walk through the bridge or jump into the gully was just a split-second decision
Without any hesitation, Luo Jianqing stepped on the bridge.
Xuan Lingzi looked at him in astonishment. Luo Jianqing had walked three meters away in a blink.
Xuan Lingzi didn’t get to think too much but caught up with him hurriedly.
They walked swiftly on the bridge amidst the astral wind blowing from all directions. The wind was like a sharp and cold knife, cutting Luo Jianqing’s face bit by bit. Although a Gold Core cultivator could fly in the sky, walking through this bridge was difficult enough under the attack of the astral wind coupling with evil lives.
As Luo Jianqing worked hard to forge ahead, he heard a cry from behind. As soon as he raised his head, he saw a black figure flying across the bridge and appeared on the opposite in a second.
“I can’t believe he is so fast. He must be a Body Fusion or even Tribulation Passage senior!”
“That senior could pass the Yin Ze Gully without looking around. He must aim at the Wu Di Cave or even Feng Shen Sea!”
“We need to keep up with him. The earlier we arrive at the next hill, the more bonds we can get.”
Those words made Luo Jianqing baffled. He turned back to Xuan Lingzi, who just stood behind him with a calm face. Seeing his disciple looking at him, Xuan Lingzi curled up his lips calmly and remained silent.
Getting through the Yin Ze Gully in a striking speed could win others’ attention and recognition, but Luo Jianqing didn’t want to stand out.
Two hours later, Luo Jianqing and Xuan Lingzi had crossed the gully and reached the Yin Ze Mountain.
Hardly had Luo Jianqing left that chain bridge when he saw the mountain shining in all its splendor as if it were a finest jade! The brilliancy spang up to the heaven, all of which came from the relics of ancient cultivators. Each cultivator visiting the mountain would search the perfectly matched relics and inherited one.
“Jesus, there must be at least twenty relics waiting for new owners!”
“No, there is definitely a lot more than that, at least fifty!”
“I think it’s a hundred!!!”
Those relics shined constantly, giving out overwhelming power. Each cultivator could only choose one to inherit, and these relics also spared no efforts to show the power of their original owners so as to attract the new one
And this new owner couldn’t be Xuan Lingzi, whose power was far beyond those relics. Their target was Luo Jianqing with Supreme Spiritual Bones.
Suddenly, Luo Jianqing’s mind was awash with thousands of messages. He found that as long as he wanted, he could even communicate with those relics. He turned around and looked at his master with a smile, “Master, even the weakest owners of those relics were Out-of-Body cultivators, and some were even Tribulation Passage…”
After a patter,
Luo Jianqing suddenly stopped talking.
He suddenly felt that those relics all fell into silence. When he turned back, he saw the Yin Ze Mountain was eclipsed and had lost all its brilliancy. Those relics, which had shined brightly just now, didn’t even dare to tell Luo Jianqing where they were, let alone invite him.
Luo Jianqing, “…”
After a long time, Luo Jianqing said slowly, “Master, they are my bonds.”
Xuan Lingzi flickered his long sleeve and said, “Just some relics once belonging to Tribulation Passage cultivators. Jianqing, I can give you far better than that.”
Luo Jianqing, “…”
Inheritance of a relic was actually an awkward thing in cultivation world.
If a cultivator inherited the relic of someone else, he admitted the one as half of his master. If he didn’t have a master before, everything would be fine. Otherwise, he’d better hide it from his master. Luo Jianqing certainly knew that Xuan Lingzi was being jealousy. If he inherited a relic under the nose of his master today, that would be a serious defiance of Xuan Lingzi.
Unlike those thrilling cultivators who came to the mountain after innumerable hardships just for their bonds, Xuan Lingzi and Luo Jianqing made their way through them and left the Yin Ze Mountain at their own pace. Behind them were bustling and hectic cultivators, while ahead them was a longer journey.
